MEET TINA
Tina Pedus, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
I am a licensed social worker who has 13+ years of experience working with children and families faced with challenges including the foster care system, homelessness, and divorce. I draw from all types of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavior therapy and narrative therapy to ensure my clients are provided with the tools they need to be successful in their therapeutic journey.
I believe that we as individuals are complex -- made up of our many identities, roles, and experiences, both individually and inter-generationally. With that, there are times when you may feel stuck, in pain, misunderstood, or unsure about who you are. With a style that is warm, direct, and infused with humor, I meet you where you are in your journey to healing and self-discovery.
My approach includes focusing on attachment, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to create a safe space to explore identity, relationships, trauma, and family dynamics. As a mother myself, I also understand the complexity of motherhood and parenting in our identities and relationships. I am passionate about supporting other working mothers, as well as couples seeking to better understand one another.
I am also experienced in exploring issues related to parenting, including providing concrete tools for individuals and groups. Additionally, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
It is a courageous first step to reach out for support in order to deepen the connection with yourself and pursue healing.
