MEET PERTHRINA

Perthrina Pegus, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with resilience, compassion, and hope. Through my specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I work to create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and understood. I believe that every person has the potential for healing and growth, and it’s my honor to help you on that journey.

I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve been carrying heavy emotional burdens for some time. My approach is grounded in empathy, meeting you where you are with respect and care. Together, we will work on developing practical tools to manage difficult emotions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and foster a sense of inner peace and balance in your life.

I also place great importance on trauma-informed care, recognizing that the pain we experience can have profound effects on our well-being. I approach therapy with the belief that “You are not what happened to you, you are who you choose to become.” I strive to offer you a space where you feel seen and heard—where your healing can unfold without judgment. I’m here to guide you as you process your experiences and build emotional resilience.

Whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or navigating a difficult life transition, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths and create the life you envision for yourself. You don’t have to face these challenges alone; together, we can explore ways to restore balance and well-being in your life.

I look forward to working with you and being part of your journey toward healing and personal growth.
