MEET BROOKE

Brooke Rozea, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

The idea of starting therapy is often scary and overwhelming for most individuals. The idea of sitting on a couch and bearing your soul to a complete stranger doesn't exactly sound like an idea Tuesday night, right? My goal is to make each and every person who walks through my door, feel comfortable and safe. We are starting our journey together, both of us, that first session. I am confident that each individual will learn something that they did not already know about themself in our work together.

My style is motivational and collaborative: we are working together so that you can live the life that you have always wanted and the life that you deserve. I take an integrative approach, incorporating psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behavioral therapy modalities–and while much of this work may often be serious, I am going to try to make you laugh sometimes too!

I find fulfillment in serving a wide range of clients. In particular adolescents, adults, and couples/family work. My work often explores issues of identity, attachment, relationships, sex, and sexuality.

I am also very familiar with the collaborative nature of this work, and this includes, but is not limited to meetings with parents, psychiatrists, school counselors, and primary care physicians. It is my belief that if we can work on a common goal as a team, we will be rewarded with the best possible results.

Prior to NSPW, I worked in Utilization Review at Beacon Health Options, and was previously supervisor of a group home at Project REAL. Having this range of experience has assisted me in understanding how complex the field of mental health can be when accessing care, and because of this, I am a strong advocate and will do my best to make your needs my priority. Currently, I am working towards certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, to better assist clients with a trauma history.
